Preliminary Agenda

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) invites you to Denver, Colorado, for the 2024 Annual Meeting of the National Transportation Stakeholders Forum (NTSF). The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center on June 3 – 6 and hosted by the Tribal Radioactive Materials Transportation Committee.

Please note that the sessions on Monday, June 3, will be for Tribal Radioactive Materials Transportation Committee (TRMTC) members, TRANSCOM users and trainees, and invited guests. The Thursday, June 6 sessions will be for state regional group (SRG) members, NTSF Ad Hoc Working Group (AHWG) members, and invited guests. If you do not fall into one of these categories, please plan on only attending the general session days of Tuesday and Wednesday, June 4 and 5.

Since 2010, NTSF annual meetings have brought together representatives from federal agencies, Tribes, states, local governments, and stakeholder organizations to discuss issues related to achieving safe and uneventful transportation of radioactive waste and material. The agenda for this year's meeting will feature speakers from several DOE offices, other federal agencies, state and tribal governments, and the private sector. A mix of plenary and breakout sessions will inform attendees and engage them in discussions with their colleagues about the successful involvement of state and tribal governments in transportation planning, DOE’s shipping campaigns to move radioactive waste and materials, advances in transportation technology, and other topics. As in past years, the state regional groups and TRMTC will hold meetings in conjunction with the NTSF meeting. In addition, members of NTSF ad hoc working groups will have the opportunity to meet.

For more information on the meeting, please contact Christy Selvig at christy.selvig@northwindgrp.com or Allie Leber at allie.leber@northwindgrp.com North Wind Site Services (staff support to TRMTC). Please contact the regional or TRMTC leads directly for information regarding their spring meetings.

About NTSF

NTSF is the mechanism through which DOE communicates at a national level with states, Tribes, federal agencies, and other interested stakeholders about DOE’s shipments of radioactive waste and materials and occasional non-radioactive high-visibility shipments. The purpose of NTSF is to bring transparency, openness, and accountability to DOE’s offsite transportation activities and facilitate collaboration with state and tribal governments and other federal agencies concerning such transportation activities.
